The Panda Room.
At Little Oaks Childcare, Spalding, we understand the unique needs of every baby, and pride ourselves on providing a welcoming, calming, and sensory-rich environment that is perfect for them. We have knowledgeable and experienced staff who are well-versed in meeting the needs of babies, including understanding the importance of following home routines. Our black and white themed 'Panda Room' is perfect for younger babies, with age-appropriate resources in a safe, secure and loving environment. Daily activities spark interest and exploration in a soft, tactile and interesting play space.
The Jungle room.
For those under 2s who are preparing for Toddlers, the Jungle room is the perfect place to start! With soft play sessions, daily times outside in the fresh air, and an emphasis on building friendships and independence, our rising 2 year olds get a big head start before transitioning downstairs to the Kingfishers and Rabbits groups. Here we begin to understand how to share and play fairly, we learn new words, sounds and phrases, we build on our physical skills, and most importantly have bucket loads of fun!
Your Little Oaks adventure begins with a tour of the premises where your special adults can ask lots of questions and see the baby suite in full swing.
Step 2 is a stay and play with your grown-up and one of our senior baby ladies where you get to play while we learn lots about you.
Step 3 we see how you get on with your new friends and your key carer for a short time before your family grown-up comes back.
Step 4, Let's go!
Until your 1st birthday you'll bring all your snacks, meals and drinks from home. Your key carer will follow her notes on your daily routine and will share daily updates on your own online profile. Just before your 1st birthday, you'll be invited to join our Little Oaks dining experience where we're sure you'll enjoy our meals and snacks made and served on site. All our meals are planned in advance, nutritionally balanced, locally and ethically sourced and there are always lots of full tummies before nap time!
Keeping things simple...
We know how busy mornings and evenings can be, so we try very hard to make drop-offs and collections as easy as possible by keeping spares of everything you might need in your own special space. If you need a comforter (blanket/dummy/cuddly toy etc), we strongly advise having ones that stay at nursery, so that you're never left without the things you need when you need them. You'll have your own peg with your own spare clothes bag, your own bedding and blankets and your own drink bottles when you're ready for one. Everyday, we'll update your online profile so your family have a full run-down of everything important about your day!
