Happy tummies = happy children! That's why here at Little Oaks we pride ourselves on providing healthy, nutritious and balanced meals, cooked fresh and on-site every day. We offer a flexible meal plan, incorporating topics, festivals and seasons and all our produce is locally and ethically sourced.

breakfast

For children who attend out 'Bright Eyes' (funded plus) Session before 9am, breakfast is included at no extra charge. We offer a variety of cereals and pastries including:

  • Porridge

  • Croissants

  • breakfast muffins

  • cornflakes

  • honey nut hoops

  • rice crispies

  • fruit

  • frosted cornflakes

  • yogurts

lunch

At Little Oaks we offer a hot cooked lunch every day, or the option to bring your own lunchboxes - as long as they're healthy and nutritious! Our menus are planned in advance yet flexible and we cater for a range of dietary requirements. We try and incorporate our projects and topics as well as use seasonal produce. We even involve the children in our meal planning as much as possible. Some firm favourites are:

  • Fish risotto

  • Spanish sausage and golden vegetable rice

  • Chilli-less quorn carne

  • vegetable korma with basmati rice and poppadoms

tea

We offer an afternoon tea style picnic for those staying later in the day. For our babies and toddlers this is around 3:15pm, and pre-school just after 4pm. Here we have a range of options such as:

  • pasta dishes

  • sandwiches & cruditees 

  • ham and cheese croissants

  • crumpets

  • cheese and tomato puff pastries

  • beans/cheese on toast

  • chicken and cream cheese wraps

  • fruit platters

  • pastries

  • soup
